as a product with a high level of automation in logistics equipment, agv robots are increasingly used in warehousing, manufacturing, medical and other industries. compared with traditional manual handling methods, agv handling robots can automatically drive along a predetermined route without manual driving, and automatically transport goods or materials from the starting point to the destination.


the main core technology of agv is positioning and navigation. the traditional agv uses electromagnetic navigation. the navigation is realized by pre-embedding metal wires on the driving path of the agv. the principle is simple. however, this method leads to poor flexibility in path change, complex construction and single walking path. with the advancement of science and technology, agv intelligent navigation has become the object of research and development by major high-tech enterprises, and traditional navigation methods have been eliminated. now agv can use various combined navigation methods such as laser scanning, ccd camera, slam navigation, and qr code.



as a national high-tech company that produces and develops inertial navigation, rion brings another autonomous navigation and positioning technology to agv that does not rely on external information and does not radiate energy to the outside. the external reference can determine the current position, direction and speed, which is suitable for accurate positioning in various complex geographical environments and external interference, and can continuously measure the change of position and effectively maintain the dynamic attitude reference. we call this technology (mems) the micro-inertial navigation positioning technology transplants high-performance micro-inertial navigation positioning products to agvs, which can provide high-precision heading angle, pitch angle, roll angle and other data for agvs, forklifts, etc. after obtaining the driving wheel data, combined with the inertial navigation acceleration information can output robust inertial navigation positioning results. assuming that the agv travel speed is 3m/s, the positioning error within 10s is better than 5cm, and the accuracy of 2km can be achieved. this technology has been gradually extended to industry, military and other fields, and has been relatively maturely applied in public security firefighting and emergency rescue.
